Neesha is an Attorney-at-Law of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka with extensive experience in commercial and property law. She commenced her legal career in Sri Lanka as a Junior Counsel to J.E.P. Deraniyagala, President’s Counsel, gaining valuable advocacy and litigation experience.
After migrating to Australia, Neesha was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of South Australia and subsequently admitted to practise in the High Court of Australia.
Neesha is a highly experienced legal practitioner who provides comprehensive legal advice to local, interstate, and international clients. She is fluent in Sinhala and has extensive experience assisting members of the Sri Lankan community in South Australia. Her strong cross-cultural understanding of both Australian and Sri Lankan legal and social contexts enables her to appreciate the diverse needs of her clients and to communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and international counterparts to achieve efficient and high-quality outcomes.
In addition to her legal career, Neesha is a NAATI-accredited Professional Translator in English and Sinhala within legal and professional settings across Australia.
She practised as a solicitor with several reputable law firms in Adelaide before establishing her own legal practice in Adelaide in February 2006.
